"Coming Home": A conversation about community reentry after incarceration

17 December 2020

On December 10, Osborne hosted an online panel on the relationship between incarceration and homelessness. Moderated by New Yorker editor David Remnick, NYC Council Member Vanessa Gibson and Osborne Board Members Frank Baker & Mathew Wambua discussed the importance of ensuring that people leaving prison and jail have access to housing and resources.

Osborne program participants Anthony Simmons and William Morton shared their own stories detailing the long process of locating housing after incarceration, and the feelings of "independence, freedom, and humanity," that come with having a home.
